We are currently carrying out a review of the website design. There is a list of requirements here (TTBwebsiteRequirements_20120605). Do send any new requirements or comments to me, at penny.noy@btinternet.com.
Also, there is a general specification for a Transition Town website which is being developed. This is to form the basis of an ‘out-of-the-box’ website for new Transition Towns. You can view this specification here.
If you would like to be involved in designing or managing the website, please contact me.
There’s also an interesting Druple Transition group (Druple is a type of website platform): http://groups.drupal.org/transition-towns
I would like to know 2 things do you have a base/office swrhoeeme? I know you used to be in Brixton market.I would also like to let people know about a group trip next year to Nicaragua doing very similar work on community gardening to what I believe is going on here. We at Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign are trying to find people who may wish to join us. However I can’t find anywhere on the website where it’s possible to post info. Please could you let me know the answers to these questions. Many thanks.
If you are still looking to let people know about your trip to Nicaragua next year – there are a few possibilities:
1. You could send a news item to news@transitiontownbrixton.org for possible inclusion in a TTB newsletter (at the editor’s discretion). Please send a couple of paragraphs, an image of around 300 x 400 (separately) and a link to more info.
2. You could join the TTB-active googlegroup and send a call out for people interested in joining you (signup for the google group is on the website – on the right) or join the Transition Town Brixton facebook group and post there..
3. You could be made a contributor and write the post yourself – it will be moderated before appearing, but it is great to have related projects write their own posts for our website. Let us know if you want to be a contributor (email penny.noy@btinternet.com)
4. You could come to one of our Shared Space events and talk to people directly.
Details of some of these are on our Contact Us page: http://www.transitiontownbrixton.org/contact-us-2/
