Opening in autumn 2012, the Remakery is a co-working space for local re-use and upcycling enterprises. By providing affordable workspace, access to materials and distribution networks, and business development support, the Remakery will offer a springboard for new and growing enterprises creating products and opportunities from waste.
The Remakery’s services will include:
- membership - a range of options for users and supporters of all kinds, including private workshop units and a shared workshop space for remakers, and network memberships for suppliers, service users and sponsors/donors
- remakers’ store - supplying affordable reused materials for DIY, gardening, art, design and crafts
- space hire - for events and training related to reuse, skills and sustainability; also hire of tools/equipment to commercial users
- training - including vocational courses and leisure learning.
For more information, see the Remakery website.
