After a year break in 2019, Social Landscapes is offering their fully certified Permaculture Design Course – Creating Resilient Communities again in 2020. The course starts in April and runs over 6 weekends between April and October. There are additional optional Saturday afternoon session covering the basics of organic and permaculture gardening.
The Actual Permaculture Design Course is a 72-hour often life-changing experience, accredited by the UK Permaculture Association.
Over the period of 6 months we will come together as a learning community to explore practical and creative solutions for building resilient neighbourhoods and designing abundant eco-systems.
We will discover how we can work with, rather than against nature to fulfil our human needs whilst caring for the earth and the people.
The course has a strong practical emphasis on ecological and social design thinking and how this can be applied in different parts of our life and society.
The course offers us the opportunity to face the predicaments of climate breakdown and the biodiversity crisis and form our own healthy response to these challenges.

We are excited to be holding this year’s Permaculture Design Course at Roupell Park Estate on Brixton Hill, where Social Landscapes has worked over the last couple of years engaging the local community and re-designing a disused space.
One of the 6 weekends is a residential weekend in Kent, at a location easily accessible by public transport from South London.

If you are not sure whether the full course is right for you, you can take one of our 2-day Introduction to Permaculture courses.
