Remakery Brixton are meeting each Thursday to transform a disused garage block. Â Throughout October and November volunteers have been heading down to the Paulet Road Estate near Myatt’s Inn Fields to create an affordable, co-working space to incubate recycling, repair and re-use projects.
The vision? To bring together waste resources, hidden skills and business development support to catalyze innovation that turns rubbish into valuable products.  Bua, one of the Remakery founders has used old materials to create chairs, benches, lampshades, even a beehive!
If you’d like to help out, the Remakery runs socials every Thursday from 6-9pm. All equipment (including pizza!) is supplied, and no experience necessary. Just bring yourself, your energy, and wear clothes that can get a little dirty.
If you’d like to go along, make sure you get your pizza by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or visiting the Remakery facebook page to let them know you are coming.
