Seeking young leaders

Global Action Plan Summerstep logoGlobal Action Plan has managed to secure funding to put 100 young people through a great programme over the summer that will train and support them to lead environmental projects in their local communities. Lambeth is really under represented at the moment but there are some spots left. It would be a great way of getting more young people involved in wider TTB/green champion activities in Lambeth.

Are you 16-17 years old (or do you know some one who is)?
Do you want to spend two weeks this summer away from home, having fun and learning new skills, followed by a project near where you live?
Do you live or go to school in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Newham, Greenwich or Tower Hamlets?

If you answered yes then sign up with your friends to join hundreds of other young people taking part in fun community projects this summer.

By joining the programme you will work in teams with other young people from across London and together you will take part in fun challenges, explore environmental issues and plan a project to do in your local area.

Why should I do it? As well as being a lot of fun, taking part will give you valuable experience that will help you to get a university place or a job after school and give you the chance to make new friends.

How do I sign up? If you want to find out more or reserve your place visit www.summerstep.org.uk. To join you will need to raise £50 through fundrasing activities but don’t worry, Global Action Plan have loads of great ideas to help you do this!
