Tweeting From Your Mobile

Blue bird image commonly used as a tweeting buttonYou can do this even if you have an old mobile without internet access

  1. Log in to your Twitter account. If you want to be the person who can do this from the main TTB Twitter (TTBrixton), for example, to tweet updates from an event, contact to have this transferred to you and get the sign-in details (only one person can be set up to send from a phone for a particular Twitter account). For the same for TTBFood, contact
  2. Go to where it says the Twitter account name, for example, ‘TTBrixton’, in the top right hand corner, click on the down arrow and select ‘Settings’
  3. Click on the ‘Mobile’ tab.
  4. Fill in the form there. It may ask you to send a confirmation text

This is a good way to keep people up-to-date with things that are going on and can include people who don’t have email access as they can set their mobiles to ‘follow’ any Twitter account directly from their mobile (though this may not be available for some networks). For doing this, see this post
