TTB Currency group meeting 5/3/09

Steve meeting Cornelius Oâ€™Brien â€“ Lambeth Business Development Officer, will mention Brixton Pound â€“ next Thursday; also Shane Collins, local green (Urban Greenfair), big networker and Residents FM, Community Radio Station. Shane could help set up Brixton Pound tent for the Urban Greenfair.

- DL talk Sue Sheehan â€“ Green Community Champions officer â€“ working with people at a neighbourhood level and identifying groups and individuals who can act as green champions.

TTB have received BÂ£ funding application, decision will be made later in March.
Supporters / potential supporters
nef has approved using its logo and being an official advisor to the BÂ£. Any use of the logo should be run past Corrina Cordon in communications team (via Josh).
Lambeth Credit Union has also approved logo and Howard Russell would also like to see material featuring the LCU logo.
Sue B to talk to Stuart Horwood, chair of Market Traders Federation and on the Board of the Lambeth Enterprise Board when we have 300 people.

Rhian â€“ try to get her along to the next BÂ£ meeting. Tim will contact Rhian directly. Karin also potential marketing person. Sue has a meeting on 10th March with friend who works in PR. Sue also spoke to Dave Thompson (postgrad student from the London College of Printing) from OnFM who is very interested. Involved with Colourful Radio which is a digital radio station â€“ Londonwide station.
Lambeth Country Show (June), Brixton Splash (July) and Urban Green Fair (Sept) are major events happening over the summer where BÂ£ could be promoted.
Hannah is going to do web design brief with Mamading â€“ brief and a designer. Steve is coming back on commissioning a web designer by next meeting. Website is very important in attracting business sponsorship.
Tim â€“ Project Dirt runs on Ning which is open source software.
Hannah has done a brief on the note. Tim to talk to Chris and Delarue ASAP. We need to decide on denominations. JRC contact Susan Witt to ask about denominations. Finalise brief. Photo collective called Effra FC on FlickR.
Tim to add in line on timeline for logo design Hannah to do brief for Currency note logo with a view to putting logo out to unpaid tender. Tim to look for designers on TTB website and Project Dirt.

Tim to resend the BÂ£ form to TTB list saying thank you and reminding people with positive developments â€“ the new economics foundation have agreed to advise the BÂ£ featured on Mark Thomasâ€™ comedy show â€˜Itâ€™s the Stupid Economy Stupidâ€™ etc. Next week. Include ask to send out to community groups for presentations etc.
