A Forest Garden is a man-made ecosystem that emulates a forest. It has many layers from mature canopy trees down to the rootzone thus making maximum use of 3D space. All these niches interlock naturally as they do in a natural forest and are productive. It is low maintenance, using perennial plants and trees, and provides for a wide range of biodiversity.
There is a maturing Forest Garden at the Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses, open Wed/Thurs afternoons and all day Sunday.
