Sun Rise – Solar Water Heating & PV Provides discounted solar installations through our accredited installer network Solar Water Heating Systems, Grant through Low Carbon Building Programme £400 or 30% grant (whichever is lowest).Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, Grant through Low Carbon Building Programme up to £3,000 or 50% grant (whichever is lowest). Scheme for owner occupiers, no particular criteria, highlight systems cost
EnergySmart Heating and Solar Provides htg and solar measures at discounted prices for clients not on any qualifying benefits condensing boilers and solar heating measures (depending on area – open form to check for this area). For insulation refer to “Energysmart insulation” scheme.
Coldbusters – Insulation Provides Insulation measures across all tenures for clients on qualifying benefits INSULATION: Cavity walls with no insulation – insulateLoft insulation with 100mm or less IMPORTANT:In areas we run full Coldbuster council grants; only use this scheme if they need insulation only (or if they are ineligible for Coldbusters); if you are unsure if they need heating refer to full Coldbusters.

CRITERIA: ANY member of the household in receipt of the following benefits :- IS, HB, CTB, JSA(IB), WTC with income less then £15,592, CTC with income less then £15,592, DPTC, AA, DLA, IIDB (with CAA), WDP(with CAA), Pension Credit OR OVER 70

TENURE: Home owner or Private Tenant

Warm Front for clients over 60 or with children Warmfront scheme Can provide Loft Ins if property has less than 100mm currently, Cavity wall ins if property is suitable, Draught proofing, Hot water tank jacket, partial central heating, Compact fluorescent light bulbs If the property has previously received loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, gas room convector heaters, electric storage heaters, factory insulated dual immersion hot water tank or electric or gas multipoint water heaters, mains gas or oil-fired central heating system under Warm Front since June 2000, these measures can NOT be supplied again under Warm Front 2.Measures available are as follows.

1. Properties WITH a Central Heating System (using any fuel), or electric storage heaters in three occupied living areas, excluding bedrooms, within the property. • LI, CWI, DP, HWTJ and 2 CFLs* are available subject to the grant maxima. • FIDIHWT if no form of water heating present.

2. Properties WITHOUT a heating system as described in 1 above.

Small home, e.g. studio flat: • 1-2 mains gas room convector heaters, (if there is no gas in the house this includes the installation of the gas supply if within 23 metres of the house and LI or CW is also being installed or is already installed); OR, one electric off-peak storage heater. OR, if an open fire using smokeless fuel, convert to closed fire. • LI, CWI, DP, HWTJ and 2 CFLs* are available subject to the grant maxima. • FIDIHWT or electric or gas multipoint water heaters if no form of water heating present.

Larger home, e.g. 2 bedroom semi-detached house: • Mains gas central heating system (including the installation of the gas supply if within 23 metres of the house and there is no gas in the house) or oil central heating system if no gas available, with no more than six radiators for five main living areas comprising living room (max. 2 radiators), other living room (1 radiator), hall (1 radiator), bedroom (1 radiator) and bathroom (1 radiator); OR, 1-3 electric off-peak storage heaters; OR, if already using smokeless fuel, conversion of up to 3 open fires to closed; OR, allow a grant of up to £2,700 towards the cost of connection to a local community-heating grid to provide central heating to no more than six radiators. • LI, CWI, DP, HWTJ and 2 CFLs* are available subject to the grant maxima.

For Owner Occupiers & Private Rented Tenants who own their heating system: Any package also includes an option of repair to a heating system where the boiler or main heating source is broken or working intermittently at the time of the Eaga survey. Repair also includes repairs to hot water systems, electric storage heaters, replacement of radiators that are leaking/not working, flushing of sludged up systems, repair of leaking radiator valves, programmers, thermostats, etc, to make the system operational. Repair includes replacement where this is more cost effective. Broken warm air boilers can be replaced by a gas central heating boiler and radiator system if cost effective. In the case of a community heating installation, a grant of up to £2,700 may be provided towards the refurbishment costs or provide a central heating system with no more than six radiators for five main living areas comprising living room, other living room, hall, bedroom and bathroom

Prices vary but range from: – £174 (£274 + £100 cashback after insulation) for bare lofts – £174 (£274 + £100 cashback after insulation) for topup lofts 50mm-270mm – £174 (£274 + £100 cashback after insulation) for topup lofts 100mm-270mm – £150 (£250 + £100 cashback after insulation) for cavity walls pre-1976 – £150 (£250 + £100 cashback after insulation) for cavity walls after-1976

NOTE – if householder wants cavity AND loft insulation they only get a single £100 cashback.

All private householders can get measures under the scheme.Renters (ie private, housing association and council tenants) need to obtain landlord’s permission.

Scheme only operates in certain boroughs of London.
